Guided Tours of Blakeburn For the 2009 season By the Author of Blakeburn - B.C.’s Forgotten Ghost Town -Bus transportation is now available, if required. Visitors may also utilize their own vehicles. All vehicular routes on the mountain which will be used for touring are suitable for 2-wheel drive automobiles. -Bring your own lunch and water please. No refreshments are available on site. -This will be primarily a hiking tour. Visitors should be in reasonably sound physical condition. Each tour day will involve between 5 to 10 miles of easy walking. -A good half of the tour will be in an area which is dominated by fallen trees and light bush. All visitors are encouraged to wear suitable shoes and long pants and a hat. A strong sunscreen (at least #30) and tick repellent are recommended. -A “Waiver of Liability” must be signed. -All tour itineraries are subject to current conditions on that particular day and the desires and capabilities of the tour group. -It would take three days to see everything !!! Your guide will attempt to give you the highlights in one. Plan on a SIX HOUR visit to Blakeburn. -Visitors should meet the tour guide in front of the Coalmont Hotel in Coalmont by 10 a.m. prior to traveling the six miles up to the ghost town. -The length of tour will be up to the visitors, if you which to extend the tour it can be arranged but plan on 5 p.m. If you are interested in booking a tour date please enter your name, phone and or E-Mail and the requested date, as well as the number of adults and children who wish to attend.
