BLAKEBURN TOUR

ANNOUNCING AN UPCOMING GUIDED BLAKEBURN TOUR. I have freed up Saturday, June 09, 2007, to conduct a 1 day tour of Blakeburn. Assuming that the rain cooperates, we will depart from the Coalmont Hotel at 10a.m., and return @ 4p.m. The fee will be $20.00 per adult. A waiver must be signed. FIVE BLAKEBURN UPDATES

ITEM ONE : I can confirm that Compliance has closed the Strip-mine operation. One worker will remain to oversee the site, but the days of sharing the road with those big trucks has ended. ITEM TWO : I have been assured that the Blakeburn, Loadstone and Arrastra Roads will remain graded in there traditionally excellent manor. ITEM THREE : Bob and Diane Sterne, those wonderful people who have literally opened their home to Coalmont visitors, are building a new Motel. "The Mozey-on-inn" will be a 3 unit motel. But will must wait until Sept. 2008 be book a bed. ITEM FOUR : A large trailer has been planted beside the Coalmont Tipple, anyone know about this? ITEM FIVE : THE BLAKEBURN REUNION 2007, will be held on Sat. June 23 in Princeton.
