SPRING UPDATE

IMPORTANT NEWS DEVELOPEMENT. Visitors to Blakeburn in 2007, no longer need to worry about those "Coal Trucks". Compliance Coal and Energy has anounced the end of coal harvesting at the Blakeburn strip-mine. 27 of the 28 employes have been layed off, leaving a token presence at the site. Logging vehicles may continue to use the Blakeburn Road as they did last fall, so visitors should remain cautious. I for one will not miss those big dual haulers coming around the bend. Unfortunately, there were some very good people behind the wheel on those trucks, I know some of them. I hope that you adjust quickly.
