BLAKEBURN REPORT

Thanks to the efforts of Brenda Gaul, Nick Mills, Lori Thomas, Gerri Logan and others the perpertrators of the logging at Blakeburn have been identified and it would appear that the distruction has been halted, for now. This was of course, welcome news to the 27 people who attended the June 24th Blakeburn Reunion in Princeton.

BLAKEBURN REPORT

Much of Blakeburn below the Tennis Courts has been bull-dozed. There is the possibility that loggers may errect a chain fence on the Arrastra Creek Forrest Service Road at Blakeburn in the near future.
BLAKEBURN CRITICAL NOTICE. A Vancouver logging company has contracted a Kamloops firm to harvest the area of Blakeburn. Some lower sections of the ghost town has already been bull-dozed. There is conciderable miss-information as to the extent of there plans. However , all indications are to the distruction of most or all of Blakeburn, over the course of this summer. Attempts are currently underway to stopping this activity and to making Blakeburn an official "Historic Site".
