BLAKEBURN ROAD UPDATE

Recently, Compliance Coal and Energy, which operates the strip mine and power plant at the west end of Blakeburn, reduced the activity at their operation. The staff of @70 were reduced to @40 personnel. Coal trucks continue to utilize the Blakeburn Road Mondays through Saturdays, but at a much lower rate than last year. Visitors to Blakeburn are encouraged to continue to use caution, however. Also, Logging trucks have been sparse this year but there appearence should also be bourne in mind.
